I am Sana imtiyaz, founder of sweet Temptations which is a home based bakery located in Baghat Barzulla. As we all know, there are few specific conventional career choices offered to us as soon as we decide to choose our subjects after 10th. I had a similar conventional career choice which was to take medical as my subjects and go for MBBS. After i passed my 12th, i had scored good in my PCB and thought to apply for Saarc and go for MBBS. However once the result came out, people having lesser merit than mine were selected and i along with one my friends ( currently in Cambridge London) didn't get selected . Both of us got disappointed . However, we both mutually decided to not go for MBBS further because of the disappointments and went to Delhi University. I was selected in Miranda house and my friend was in Stephens. By the time I went to Miranda house, I had already started with Baking and used to take orders from friends and family . It was year 2017/18. Furthermore, i couldn't adjust with the course in Miranda and had to convince my parents for months so i could leave the place and come back to kashmir and start my own venture . Initially it was difficult but by the eventually they realised my situation and supported me thereafter. My parents were govt. Employees and we had no concept of business in first family which made it quite tough . But as years passed by, i did a diploma in Bakery from CCDS Delhi. It was a months course and eventually joined Bsc course here in Srinagar and did both my graduation and business side by side Covid came up as blessing in disguise for my business as i got time to focus on my business while colleges were shut. Somehow the number of orders also increased as people started preferring home based bakeries during Covid And that's about it. Started it all alone and now working with 5 more workers and at least 3 delivery companies . Eventually in these 8 years i think i found my niche & Alhumdullilah by the grace of Almighty and support of my family, friends & the customers i am able to follow my passion and also earn independently following the hobby . Never thought that i could turn by hobby into a business
