My homebaking journey started in 2016 after I decided to take a break from a decade long career in Banking & Finance to pursue my passion.Luxury cakes , which were just becoming popular in India at that time caught my attention & I fell in love with creating sugar toppers and delicate sugar flowers which became my forte ! I received huge support from my ex colleagues & wellwishers who supported me immensely when I started out and fortunately there was no looking back ! Luxury Celebration cakes have been our specialty since then. I have also been fortunate to have created a lot of cakes for a long list of celebrities till date, the most exciting one being requested to create a cake for the Prince of Kolkata , the great Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly’s Birthday which received huge appreciation . I have also been fortunate in creating cakes for Indo American Yoga guru Yogi Bikram Chaudhuri, founder Chairman of KPC group Dr Kali P Chaudhuri for the fourth consecutive this year, Padmashree Awardee Rezwana Chaudhuri Bannya band the likes apart from a long list of Tollywood celebrities. I was a nominated for ICA Rising Star East in 2019 & bagged the Certificate of Excellence in The Cake Marathon in 2019 . My work and tutorials got featured in some of the distinguished Cake Magazines like most recently in Incredible India Cake Magazine, Fondbites where my work and tutorials were published , Sugar Magazine where my work was featured amongst the Rising Stars of Sugar Magazine in 2018, Cake The Great Magazine and recently Curie The Bake and Food Magazine published an article on my work and journey . Another very exciting invitation I received this year was creating a Show Stopper Cake in International Cake Competition held in Kolkata . The 48 inches tall modern Wedding cake where i experimented with modern wafer paper techniques grabbed the attention of many great artists and I received appreciation from many notable cake artists. I also feel humbled to have been chosen as judge in one of the first Cake shows of Eastern India for two consecutive years which was a huge learning experience under the guidance of our Head Judge, one of the most talented artists of India and internationally which helped me view my work in a all new perspective. In short, my journey has been full of pleasant surprises and I am extremely humbled and look forward to reinventing myself with each new opportunity of creating something special in the sphere of Luxury Cakes in the years to come & most importantly keep enjoying this journey with the same passion I had started with .
